Cataracts are a clouding of the lens in the eye. It is a frequent complication of age as your eye lens becomes thicker over time. See your optometrist for treatment of cataracts.

The standard treatment for cataracts may alter your refractive state as the natural lens in the eye is replaced with one that improves your vision. Just like with any refractive surgery you can have myopia progression after surgery and EM methods can help keep you at your post-surgical state.
