Could potentially add a note at the end saying that plus lenses could in principle be used, but introduces some problems of its own. I'm sure there was a blog posting about it somewhere - should find that before actually adding the note. Divenal (talk) 08:14, 11 June 2020 (UTC)

Should this article be called Myopia or Near-sightedness?

Myopia

  • I feel as if it's called Near-sightedness, we're just submitting to the lowest common denominator. The article clarifies that myopia is near-sightedness in the lead, and Myopia is in the name of EndMyopia, so it's important for people to know it's called that. -NottNott (talk) 11:39, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
  • The website isn't called "End Near Sightedness" Dlskidmore (talk) 01:38, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
  • My inclination would be that the name of the page itself doesn't really matter all that much. Most people will get to it by following a link. And as long as suitable redirects are set up, there will be multiple paths into the page. The only time the name might matter is if someone goes to the 'all pages' view and filters redirects out. (Which I do. But I'm odd.) They might be using that as a sort of index or glossary or something. In that case, I'd probably slightly prefer the name Myopia. Divenal (talk)

Near-sightedness

  • this deserves a redirect at least Dlskidmore (talk) 01:38, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
    • and so it already does have a redirect.
