::{{re|NottNott}} thanks. Syntax looks perfectly regular, if you know XML !  The / before the closing > is magic to make it valid. XML tags must always be balanced, and the slash tells it that this doesn't need a closing tag (or any body).  It's completely equivalent to <nowiki><ref name="referencelol"></ref></nowiki> <ref name="referencelol"></ref>, but shorter. Referencing articles

Check out Help:Referencing, I added the amazing tool you've shown off to it. That thing is brilliant!!! -NottNott (talk) 14:21, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

@NottNott:  :-) There was one thing I wanted to check out - what if I want to refer to the same reference from more than one place in the text? I noticed that the citation tool uses <ref name=...>{{...}}</ref> so I assume you just need to do another ref but reuse the name you used in some way. But I can possibly figure it out by looking at wikipedia pages or something. (Or just RTFM.) Divenal (talk)

More text[1]. Syntax is finnicky, looks like you need "" and the backslash in <ref name="referencelol" /> for calling the reference later in the article. That's dumb. -NottNott (talk) 14:31, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
@NottNott: thanks. Syntax looks perfectly regular, if you know XML ! The / before the closing > is magic to make it valid. XML tags must always be balanced, and the slash tells it that this doesn't need a closing tag (or any body). It's completely equivalent to <ref name="referencelol"></ref> [1], but shorter.
