EndMyopia threads in other subreddits

Search for "EndMyopia reddit" and most results come from r/myopia and r/optometry, which are not run by EndMyopia. The highest-ranking ones are single first-person accounts:

One account and the published record

A thread is one person's experience, told once. The published record is hundreds of people's prescriptions over time: 423 first-person case reports from 2013 to 2026 in the EndMyopia case registry (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21016340), written up as a preprint (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21230819). Weigh them the way you would weigh any evidence: a single account next to hundreds of documented ones.

Flashes, floaters and the retina

Higher myopia comes with a higher risk of retinal thinning, holes and tears, whatever method someone follows or doesn't. New flashes of light, a sudden shower of floaters, or a shadow or curtain across part of your vision mean an eye doctor the same day. See Retinal detachment.
