In addition to active focus, most members of EndMyopia eventually experience what is referred to as a "clear flash." A clear flash is an effortless and spontaneous partial or complete clearing of blur. These flashes can last anywhere from fractions of a second, to full minutes. While the community at large agrees that these flashes do not actually improve your vision, there is also a consensus that they are an indication of improvement.

At least one person gets them while dreaming instead of while awake.
