Guide talk:Reading glasses prescriptions

Jump to navigation Jump to search

My last prescription also had an "ADD" column, which was the amount of SPH to add to the basic one to get the reading glasses I asked for.

It looked like this:

OD: -2.00 S | -1.50 C | +0.75 ADD | ...
OS: -2.50 S | -1.00 C | +0.75 ADD | ...

Should we mention that? Is that common enough to be useful?

@Francois: It might be worth mentioning that this is just for reading, and for bifocals and varifocals. They are largely unnecessary for most people. I would recommend a EM:Bold edit here -NottNott (talk) 07:11, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
